1858 Log Cabin

Two pre-civil war cabins were located in Maury County.  Each log was numbered and deconstructed then reconstructed on site in Williamson County.  Tradesmen from North Carolina came in residence to spend weeks reconstructing these treasures.  One cabin was envisioned as the Gathering room, while Sherri created the new construction out from there which included the kitchen, bath and laundry.  Then the 2nd cabin connected on the other side of the new construction portion to serve as the bedroom. Seamless connection with materials and finishes were the priority in order to enhance the original cabins without the distraction of modern materials.
