Seeing What Others Overlook

Sherri’s interest in home design began when her family almost single handedly built a home from the ground up. She was 7 years old when construction began, and more than two years later after learning and laying subfloor, brushing glue on water line connections, laying brick pavers, laying flooring, being allowed and asked to provide significant input selecting carpeting, cabinets, wallpaper and trim—Sherri was hooked.

The smell of fresh lumber and the sound of a saw became the scent and music of reinvention and renewal to her and has captured her passion ever since.

For over twenty years now, Sherri has collaborated with architects, builders, homeowners and preservationists to create lovely and timeless homes in the Davidson and Williamson County area.

Her work has been featured in Country Home Magazine, Style Blueprint, music videos, Bush’s Baked Beans ads and Cracker Barrel ads. She has been honored with the Grand Aurora Award and the Best Renovated/Restored Single House Award from the Southeast Building Conference and has also received the Master Design Award for Historic Renovation from Qualified Remodeler Magazine.

Meet Sherri

Paravel Designs is named for the Cair Paravel castle which was home to fictional kings and queens in C.S. Lewis’ Narnia books, a favorite of Sherri and her children. Paravel was always a place of sanctuary, peace, and alluring appeal for the family of children who frequented the home…qualities Sherri always aspires to provide to the clients she serves. From 200 year old restorations -to reimagining existing home layout and finishes - to new construction custom and spec homes, Sherri enjoys the complete process…and the scents, sounds, labor and transformations still inspire her.

Let’s work together

Paravel partners with homeowners, builders, and architects throughout the entire process.

By being involved early and staying engaged through completion, Sherri helps create clarity in decision-making and alignment across every phase of the project.
